Hanqing Fan
Assistant Professor · Peking University

Prof. Hanqing Fan earned his B.S. from Peking University, an M.S. from Stanford, and a Ph.D. from Columbia, followed by postdoctoral research at Yale and Rice. He joined Peking University in 2026 as a Boya Assistant Professor in the College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering.

Advance separation technologies
at Peking University

We're recruiting at every level. Backgrounds in environmental engineering, materials, chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science are all welcome.

01 · Postdoc
  • Ph.D. within the last 3 years (or graduating soon), age ≤ 35
  • ≥ 2 first/corresponding-author SCI papers, or 1 Nature Index paper
  • Experience in membrane separation, material synthesis, electrochemistry, transport phenomena, or molecular dynamics simulations
02 · PhD student
  • A solid background in a related engineering or science discipline
  • Strong motivation for separation science, membranes, or AI4Science
  • International students are also welcome (proficiency in Chinese is needed)
03 · Research assistant
  • Interest in membrane fabrication and characterization, lab experiments, or AI4Science
  • Full-time or part-time
  • Remote work is possible
